21-22 MAJ 2023, KU:BE, FREDERIKSBERG, COPENHAGEN
HOMECOMING by Tanja Schlander and LuN/A seeks to land the audience after the journey. It is already buzzing as in the home of the (bee)Ku.be when they arrive. The sound is the pulse of the earth's (7.83 Hz). The frequency enters into a dialog with the audience's interaction with amplified lampposts, of the place here and now. Live electronic processing creates a blanket of sound that envelops the audience in a meditative atmosphere. A polyphonic choir dawns, allowing new harmony to emerge. A microtonal synchronicity of disharmony, but with a spacious oscillation.
After Start, Acceleration, Clash, Turning point and Deceleration comes the Homecoming. An interactive listening situation with and within the architecture of the garden and the nature of the surroundings, giving the audience space to play, sing and ultimately wind down. Research shows that 7.83 HZ is the sound of the earth's electromagnetic pulse, which we chose for this piece, because what is more at home than the feeling of grounding? The goal is a shared sensory space, where there is fertile ground for synergy and natural harmony, but also total centering. This dual attention is the basis for true improvisation.
LYDFELTER BY BIKE is a total of five small sound concerts at selected locations in the public space in Frederiksberg. A joint bike ride, a guided audio concert journey, surrounded by loudspeakers from the starting destination under the Bispeengbuen to the end station at KU.BE. The event can be seen as a mixture of concert, performance and sound journey. The sound artists from XYZ Sound Collective explore the question: What is the sound of the city? And experiment with how the city is experienced when the loudspeakers play from bicycles in different city spaces - inviting both participants and passers-by to a collective meeting.
Get new experiences in some, for you perhaps, known or unknown places in the city. Create new memories. Get a magical experience of the reality, which gives you a new perspective on your city. Try to listen carefully. Maybe you hear a sound that you know, or maybe the sound awakens a new feeling in you. The caravan's five stops in Frederiksberg symbolize the 🚲 dramaturgy of the cycle trip: acceleration, collision, braking, turning point and homecoming.
