28 March - 1 April, 2022, DANSEHALLERNE, COPENHAGEN
Enter the day through movement, dancing and observing. Listening and writing. Practice discovering and hang out with own expressions. Bring a pen and your notebook. Hanna is interested in how “the dance” in thinking, being and observing is feeding variations of expression in the great mess of creativity.
Live soundscape jam by LuN/A.
Dansehallerne (DK), Danscentrum (SV) and PRODA (NO) are all institutions that offer training for professional dance artists.
In week 11, 12 and 13 2022, a pilot project will be carried out for increased collaboration between each organisation’s teaching program with the intention to share knowledge and increase sustainability.
Within the framework of this new Nordic co-operation, an artist/ teacher is selected from each country to rotate between Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen in a 3-week teaching tour. The tour is woven into each organisation’s regular programming and will enrich the participants experience by getting to know new teaching methods and cultures while widening their current network. This idea came from our urge to contribute to a well-functioning and sustainable ecosystem for dance by offering longer periods per assignments and choosing touring by train over flying.
The curated dance teachers and artists are: Xiri Tara Noir (DK) w11, Mari Carrasco (SE) w12 and Hanna Filomen Mjåvatn (NO) w13
Thank you Nordisk Kulturfond for the support to the project @nordiskkulturfond
We encourage you to continue looking after yourself & each other, and will no longer check corona passes at training, only your tickets;)
You are also invited to hybrid Peer to Peer /March 29th at Union / from 5-7PM
How do we implement our artistic practice into teaching?
Xiri Tara Noir, Mari Carrasco & Hanna Filomen Mjåvatn will sum up the experiences and reflect on their three-week teaching tour in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. What does the term “train distance” mean, and why is it sustainably important in an environmental, social, and economical way?
These are a just a few of the questions for this hybrid Peer to Peer. Join online via a link you get access to in advance or participate in person at Union in Copenhagen. This event is organized with and in collaboration with PRODA, NO and Danscentrum Stockholm, SE.
